Hi all,

I recently sent a couple of questions to Marketa but
then I thought: Why not send it over the list?
So here it is.

Here are a couple of new sentences
made up by using the grammar and dictionary.
Please tell me if they are correct and answer
the additional questions.

1. Spockhi maDZHUtoy [if?] iw'at i-plak s'krIoy.
Spock might die if you don't stop his blood
(from flowing).
[the 'from flowing' is implied so there
is no Vulcan equivalent in the sentence.]
[is the hi in Spockhi correct?]
[How to translate the if-construction?]

2. iw'ha tixoma'ha Spock'at i-plak s'kroyZOkah!
(you) Stop his blood so that Spock may live.
[you is superfluous in the English sentence
so it is not translated.]
[what is the difference between ma and DZHU? =

Both convey a possible future (might and may)]

3. Spock'at u-plak krupat'oram.
Spock's blood is (precise shade of) green.
[Your example Spock'at krupat'oram u-plak simply
designates the substance (Spock's green blood). Our =

sentence follows the X=3DY construction]

4. Tuvok'at Sharien'ran McCoy.
Tuvok's Sharien kills McCoy.
[Does McCoy need any suffix?]

5. s'th'rIanDZHA Sharien'ti!
I will not kill you with the Sharien.
alternative: s'hi th'rIanDZHA Sharien'ti.
[Which sentence is (more) correct?]

6. iwl'mnahPE th'ha.
She has proposed to me.
[or use "breidhah" for to propose?]

7. Th'at kae s'at kae'ha.
My mind to your mind.
[Is there a Vulcan word for thoughts?]

As far as we know they are as correct as =

possible. The following sentences are examples
of what we cannot do with our current knowledge.
Could you please translate?

- I want to kill you now. I want to kill you slowly.
- My friend walked a long distance to his house.
- I desire plomeek soup greatly.
- I have complete mastery of passion/emotion

- I gave an ahn'woon to my neighbour.
- I want to give you an ahn'woon or a stone of gol.

(to reach Vulcan).
- The pon farr cycle is almost complete.
- The human friend writes in pink (characters).
- Spock woke early in the morning and reflected on the
existence of a'tha.
- I advise to invite the Human too.
- Kirk's rage stopped him from finding harmony.
- I might shoot down the night-flier in order to eat.
- You will give me the (invisible) gift from my mother!
- The story about the passing on of the universe =

is neither logical nor correct.
- You want me to run but I have (already) run so call
the master.
