DOn't worry.  So am I.  I just put in my 1,5 cents here and there...

Having the <I> represent your "ee" sound is much more universal, 
(Spanish, Japanese...)where (correct me if I'm wrong) having and <e> in 
most other languages usually implies the vowel sound in "way".  If you 
speak either Japanese or Spanish then you will have less trouble with 
this.
