I should have said "accompanying phenomena" rather than "accompanying signs," to prevent the more-than-implication of significance. What I'm talking about is constructing a name out of any combination of time of day in hour/minute/second analogues number or name of day of week analogue (if any) day of month number or name of month season year reference to something notable at or around the time such as a big storm, the discovery of a new spring, a successful hunt, a good harvest reference to something notable about the newborn such as unusual eye color, difficult birth, cries very little Though any of these could form part of a total symbolism that could include astrology, I do not mean to suggest astrology specifically OR that the role of such things be superstitious now or in the past for Vulcans. (They likely were in the past, but that's beside the point.) If a name is created for an individual at birth, it could be that such references are used in the construction, unless the namers just pick pleasing sounds. That's all I meant, and all that's probably relevent. > In fact, I like > this idea. Do we know much about what the constellations look like from > a Vulcan observer. A topic for a vulcan-astrology list, perhaps.
