in T'pel. The reason I suggested Spock's "ock" be written differently than Tuvok's is because it is in English translations. So, if we assume that a Vulcan translator worked with an English-speaking human to come up with this peculiarity, then we can assume it has a reason. In the ST TMP utterances at Gol we hear the Preistess say Spock much differently than say, Kirk would. She seems to aspirate the k sound quite a lot, so I think it would be written Spokh in Vulcan. We could use completely different characters in naming than normal sentences, but I don't really think we should. The male names can usually be written with a starter, middle sound, and an ender. Female names on the other hand usually cannot. T'Pel, T'Pau, T'Lar are all different. I realized that I couldn't write T'Pel will the characters I already created so I borrowed Rob's

. That's why it is isolated. T'Lar would be written: +<*L>++<**generic femanine> T'Pau: +<*P>+<*a*u>+<**generic femanine> *Rob's aleady existant characters. **The generic femanine does not make a sound. > >>I think there still needs to be another symbol for a masculine >since >>Tuvok is hardly femamine. > >If you just assign the indication of gender to the long stroke running >on the left or the right, it would allow for much greater flexibility >in this regard... Alright. That sounds good. We can just say that the starter is "usually masculine", and the is "usually femanine" to eliminate the need for another set of starters. As I say on the page itself, we will need more starters for Vorik and Veleris. K'dvarin is also going to need one. I think you should come up with that one Saul. I'd also like to make note of the fact that the names can also be written horizontally. I'm going to work on some pics to illustrate that tonight.
