I think the intent was that the words should be written as they are
pronounced. I know that was the intent behind the modified
transcription I've suggested, and which Rob uses.

I also think it would be a mistake to have two different systems of
representation running around. I would find it confusing if I weren't
responsible for one of them. If my suggested changes aren't going to
work, we should abandon them quickly, because otherwise they seem to
act as a barrier to collaboration and a discouragement to newcomers.

As to the words themselves, I discovered at some point that the list
so far generated included nearly all the words necessary to translate
that first comic strip, so we probably should have used them instead.
Oh, well.
