Not that you folks have anything else to do... 

Would it be possible for someone for who knows what they're talking
about to make an occasional summary posting to vulcan-l about what's
happening in -linguistics? There are undoubtedly folks there who
have a more-than-passing interest in what's happening, but don't
subscribe to the -linguistics list. And something like this would
be useful for new -linguistics subscribers to get a quick sense
for what's happening, without initially having to download the
entire archive and read thru some 400 postings to catch up on things.
